Last week, on 18.02.2025, Infracert TSI staff had the opportunity to attend the ‘𝙉𝙤𝘽𝙤 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚’ event organised by the EU Agency for Railways (ERA). The event aimed to bring together key stakeholders from the rail sector to exchange insights and experiences related to the monitoring of Notified Bodies (NoBo's) in relation to the EU Railway Interoperability Directive. The meeting was attended by representatives of Notified Bodies, Accreditation Bodies (PCA), National Authorisation Bodies, National Safety Authorities (UTK) from Europe as well as the Associations and Networks of Representative Bodies (CER, EIM, UNIFE, EA, NB-Rail, etc.). The event provided a unique opportunity to share knowledge and best practices in monitoring NoBo, fostering cooperation and improving railway safety and standards. The detailed explanations of the presenters and the discussions held during the meeting allowed to dispel doubts relating to the conduct of the bodies, to present practical aspects of certification and helped to better collaborate in order to improve market interoperability and a unified approach to certification, testing and safety on the railways.
